Diversity and Inclusion in Marketing
The American Marketing Association (AMA) will be hosting a virtual Zoom event on September 2nd from 12-1 PM on the importance of diversity and inclusion in marketing efforts. With the heightened national sensitivity around the topic, it’s critically important for brands to include diversity in their marketing efforts.

Barbara Hamm Lee, WHRO
Barbara Hamm Lee is the Executive Producer and Host of Another View, a weekly call-in talk show that “discusses today’s issues from an African American perspective.” She has also held the position of Project Director for the National Federation of Community Broadcasters’ African American Public Radio Stations Initiative, consulting with 26 African American public radio stations.
Michael Berlucchi, Chrysler Museum
Michael Berlucchi is the Manager of Community and Government Relations at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Michael was elected to the Virginia Beach City Council on November 5, 2019, and has served numerous boards and organizations, including two terms as president of Hampton Roads Pride, the Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission, Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation, Hope House Foundation, Virginia Beach for Fairness, Teens with a Purpose, and the United Negro College Fund.
Mary Kate Andris, YWCA
Mary Kate Andris is the President and CEO of the YWCA South Hampton Roads where she has spent the past 4 years increasing revenue from philanthropic sources and building awareness of the YWCA South Hampton Roads’ brand. The YWCA ‘s commitment to racial justice and civil rights runs deep. The YWCA continues to call for the dismantling of systemic racism and equal protection and opportunity under the law through its public policy and advocacy work.
